Two roads in County Down closed on Monday morning after trees fell and blocked traffic. Motorists faced disruptions on Ballygowan Road in Saintfield and Pinehill Road in Drumbo.

Ballygowan Road shut due to a fallen tree and damaged Northern Ireland Electricity cable. Northern Ireland Electricity received notification and planned to respond. Signs marked the closures at both ends.

Pinehill Road closed in both directions near Mill Road from a large tree across the road. Clearance work started on both sites, with drivers advised to use other routes.

Traffic moved normally elsewhere in the greater Belfast area.
