Translink will run holiday timetables on Easter Monday, April 6, and Easter Tuesday, April 7, for passengers planning day trips.

Ian Campbell, Translink's director of service operations, stated that the company offers comfortable and affordable travel options with everyday fares over Easter.

Special family trains will depart Belfast Grand Central Station at 9.40am for Portrush on both Easter Monday and Tuesday, returning at 6.25pm. Tickets cost £24 for up to two adults and four children and can be booked online at www.translink.co.uk.

A Family & Friends ticket provides unlimited day travel on all Translink services in Northern Ireland for £24, covering up to two adults and four children. In Belfast, a Metro and Glider Family Day Ticket costs £10 for the same group size.

The bus rambler ticket, at £10, allows unlimited travel on Ulsterbus, Goldliner, Metro, and Glider services after 9.15am. Rail passengers receive 25% off day return fares after 9.30am on NI Railways services over Easter.

Campbell noted that Translink expects to support safe and reliable bus and train journeys with these services and tickets. Passengers should use the Translink Journey Planner to check and plan trips in advance.
