More than half of households in Northern Ireland had all members aged 16 and over in employment during October to December 2025.

The Labour Force Survey household results show 55% of households were work-rich. An additional 15% were workless, with all adults aged 16 and over unemployed or inactive.

Couples with children formed the largest household type at 33%. One-person households accounted for 27%. Couples without children made up 24%.
