PSNI Advises Homeowners to Stay Alert to Unsolicited Callers
Police Service of Northern Ireland has urged householders to remain vigilant against individuals offering unrequested services or seeking entry to homes.
In a statement the PSNI noted that criminals use such approaches to gain trust and commit offences. Officers advised residents to rely on their instincts if an interaction feels wrong.
Homeowners should refuse entry to uninvited callers decline advance payments and report suspicions to police without delay the PSNI said.
The force emphasised that prompt reporting of these encounters helps identify patterns and supports targeted patrols to deter crime in local areas.
