Police in Newtownabbey seized two Surron electric motorbikes on Tuesday afternoon, March 24, after they were ridden along the Hazelbank towpath.

The Newtownabbey Neighbourhood Policing Team from PSNI Antrim and Newtownabbey took action due to the bikes being used in a public space without proper driving licences, insurance, protective headgear, or registration plates.

Officers noted that such use on roads or public areas violates regulations.

Both riders face reports for multiple road traffic offences.
