Engineering Careers Fair Set for Dungannon Campus in 2026
South West College will hold the Get Engineering Careers and Apprenticeship Fair at its Dungannon campus on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Over 30 employers from advanced manufacturing and engineering will attend. Local firms including McCloskey International, Terex, Mallaghan Engineering, Dunbia, Specdrum, Nugent Engineering and Edge Innovate will discuss jobs, entry routes, career paths and applications.
The event features live demonstrations and workshops on 3D scanning, rapid prototyping, robotic and virtual welding, automation and Industry 4.0 technologies. Attendees can view machinery and equipment made locally and exported worldwide.
Prospective students can learn about degree opportunities, earn-while-you-learn apprenticeships and higher-level apprenticeships. Current apprentices will share programme benefits.
Exhibition stands will cover careers for design engineers, technical service engineers, welders, fabricators, CNC operators and engineering business support roles. College staff will provide career guidance.
The free event targets post-16 learners, parents, guardians and those seeking to enter or advance in engineering. Visitors can explore full-time, part-time and apprenticeship courses, with September 2026 applications open.
Get Engineering is a partnership between South West College and engineering companies to highlight local sector careers.
