St Mary's University College Belfast hosted the SAANI Women’s Day Conference. The Sudanese Advocacy Association Northern Ireland (SAANI), Horn of Africa People Action (HAPANI) community group, and Sudanese Youth and Women’s Organisation organised the event.

Women living and working in Belfast from Sudan and Somalia attended. The conference allowed participants to discuss matters impacting women in their communities.

The event took place on a day marking the end of Ramadan, Eid, and Sudanese Mother’s Day.
