Sally Williamson, co-owner of the Valley Hotel in Fivemiletown, Tyrone, died on March 12. She ran the business with her husband John since they bought it in the early 1970s after their marriage.

The hotel in South Tyrone has hosted weddings, family celebrations and community events over the decades. The family marked 50 years of ownership in 2020. Family members from the next generation now help manage it.

A service of thanksgiving took place on Wednesday in St John’s Parish Church, Fivemiletown, followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Mrs Williamson is survived by her husband John, their children Sharon, Diane, Paul, Greg and Lisa, her brother Robert, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Valley Hotel spokesperson expressed regret at her passing and thanked the public for support. Mid Ulster Council chair Frances Burton offered condolences to the family. Clogher Valley Vintage extended sympathy to John, the children and the extended family.
