Police searched a property in the Drumgarrow Court area of Enniskillen on Friday and found a large number of cannabis plants plus drug-related equipment.

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland Organised Crime Branch carried out the operation.

A 22-year-old man faced arrest on suspicion of several drug offences and remains in custody.

Authorities charged him with possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, possession of a Class B controlled drug, cultivating cannabis, dishonestly using electricity, no driving licence, and using a motor vehicle without insurance.

He will appear before Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday.

The Public Prosecution Service will review all charges as standard procedure.

Police stated they plan to dismantle the cannabis grow, remove the plants that could yield a significant amount of street drugs, and destroy them.

Officers described targeting drug supply as a priority and requested public information on suspected cannabis cultivation or other drug activity.
