Northern Regional College will host a Milwaukee Tools roadshow at its Ballymena campus on 15 April at 9am. The event follows a visit to the college's Newtownabbey campus on 5 March, the first time the manufacturer has held such an event in a UK college.

Students from electrical installation, joinery, brickwork, plumbing, welding and engineering programmes attended the Newtownabbey session. They took part in workshops, live demonstrations and hands-on sessions with power and hand tools. Participants also spoke with product specialists about industry standards and health and safety practices.

Iain McCart, Electrical Installation Lecturer at Northern Regional College, stated that hosting Milwaukee Tools allows students to learn from professionals and use new tools, which helps prepare them for work. Oliver Mars, Area Manager at Milwaukee Tools, noted that the company wants to support future tradespeople and engineers through partnerships like this one with the college.

The Ballymena event will offer similar access to tools and expertise for students there.
