Stephen Hargan, 40, of Lisnafin Park in Strabane, faces charges of sexual assault on a child and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. The alleged offences occurred on July 16, 2025.

Police visited Hargan's bail address on March 16, 2025, after he breached his curfew. Officers arrested him at the address the next day. Hargan told police he had woken up in Altnagelvin Hospital and took a taxi back to his address.

His defence counsel noted Hargan had spent seven months in custody before receiving bail on February 19, 2025. The counsel also stated that DNA reports showed no presence of the defendant's DNA.

A Derry court readmitted Hargan to bail. He must appear again on March 30, 2025.
