Police in Northern Ireland are investigating a shotgun attack on a house in Ballynahinch, County Down. The incident occurred in the Isle of Shinney Walk area.

Officers received a report shortly after 11:30pm on Friday, March 13, that a shot had been fired at the rear door of a residential property.

At the scene, police found shotgun pellet holes in the door and smashed glass.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland has launched an appeal for witnesses.

Anyone in the area at the time who saw the incident or has information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1720 of March 13.
