The Hot Country TV Awards took place at the Hotel Kilmore in Cavan. Derek Ryan, who lives in Fermanagh, received the Songwriter of the Year award. He released a new album called The Nashville EP after recording in the United States.

Ryan described Nashville as a city full of music and storytelling. He said the experience led him to write songs that mix storytelling with Irish country music. He also put out a new single titled Batten Down The Hatches with Effie Neill.

David James from Donegal won Single of the Year for The Waltz of Life. John Farry from Garrison wrote the song for his daughter's wedding. James said he knew right away he wanted to record it after hearing it.

Patrick Treacy from Donagh earned the Hottest Male Act in Irish Country Music award.
