A film crew recorded the final shots for the adaptation of Ciaran McMenamin's novel Skintown last Saturday in Enniskillen. Actor Jack Rowan, playing main character Vinny Duffy, walked past the closed shutters of the local newspaper's Main Street headquarters.

The novel came out in 2021. It centers on young men in 1990s Northern Ireland facing limited opportunities as the Troubles wound down.

Filming started this year. Earlier work took place in Antrim Town and other spots across Northern Ireland. Production has support from Screen Ireland and Northern Ireland Screen.

The cast includes Anthony Boyle and Josh Finan. Director Kieron J Walsh leads the project. A 2026 premiere is planned, though no date is set.

Ciaran McMenamin posted an image on Instagram of Rowan in front of the newspaper office. The caption read 'Up the town. Fermanagh til I die.'
