An easyJet flight from Enfidha, Tunisia, to Belfast International Airport diverted to Liverpool on Tuesday evening after a passenger needed urgent medical attention.

Flight EZY3072 landed in Liverpool, where medical services met the passenger.

The aircraft continued to Belfast more than two hours after its scheduled arrival time.

EasyJet confirmed the diversion occurred because of the onboard medical issue.

The airline stated that the safety and wellbeing of customers and crew remains its highest priority.
