MyTourismNI E-Learning Platform Reaches 500 Learners in Northern Ireland
Tourism NI's MyTourismNI e-learning platform has registered its 500th learner. The platform offers free modules on sales and marketing, digital skills, sustainability, people management, inclusive tourism, and operational effectiveness to tourism and hospitality workers across Northern Ireland.
Users complete training at their own pace. Currently, 150 learners are advancing through the Travel Trade Ready course ahead of a buyer event later this month.
Eimear Callaghan, Head of Experiences and Industry Development at Tourism NI, stated that the milestone shows the sector's dedication to ongoing staff training. She noted the platform was created based on industry input and helps businesses enhance skills and performance while fitting around daily operations.
Sandra Willis of Motorhome Routes Ireland, the 500th learner, described the modules as relevant and convenient due to their short format. She highlighted their usefulness for busy schedules and the practical content focused on Northern Ireland's tourism sector.
Learners include staff from local councils, hotels, tour operators, and visitor attractions throughout Northern Ireland. The platform issues monthly awards to top completers who earn digital badges in various topics.
Tourism NI plans to add more content and encourages tourism professionals to register at the platform's website.
