A 21-year-old barbering student from Downpatrick organised a fundraiser at South Eastern Regional College’s Downpatrick Campus. Conaill McCreesh completed a Level 2 Traineeship in Barbering there.

McCreesh received a testicular cancer diagnosis at age 19. He underwent an operation and achieved full recovery. He receives annual check-ups.

The event collected £200 for Friends of the Cancer Centre. McCreesh spoke with customers about his diagnosis and treatment.

He advised men to monitor for bodily changes and seek medical checks for any concerns. Friends of the Cancer Centre runs a campaign to promote monthly testicular self-examinations among men in Northern Ireland.
