The Northern Ireland Social Care Council launched a photography exhibition titled 'Holding space: Inside social work' this week. The display captures social workers supporting people across Northern Ireland in health and social care, justice, education, and community and voluntary sectors.

Independent photographer Rory Moore created the images showing social workers at work with individuals of all ages. The exhibition forms part of the Social Care Council's March campaign to highlight social work contributions. The campaign aligns with World Social Work Day on 17 March.

Tracy Reid, Chief Executive of the Social Care Council, stated that over 6,900 social workers serve Northern Ireland communities. She noted the images provide context to their work and promote the profession.

Aine Morrison, Chief Social Worker at the Department of Health, described the exhibition as offering insight into social workers' commitment across various sectors.

The exhibition opened at North West Regional College for two weeks. It moves to South West College in Dungannon from 18 March to 25 March, then to Belfast Metropolitan College from 13 April to 23 April.
