DAERA Stocks Multiple Waters with Brown Trout in February
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs stocked various waters in Northern Ireland with brown trout during February.
Stocking took place on multiple dates. On 9 February, Middle South received 1,000 brown trout. Lough Mourne got 1,000 on 10 February, 500 on 11 February, and 1,500 on 20 February and 26 February.
Killylane received 500 brown trout on 12 February. Altnahinch was stocked with 1,500 on 13 February. Castlewellan got 1,000 on 16 February and 1,500 on 25 February.
Moorlough received 1,000 on 17 February. Stoneyford was stocked with 1,000 on 18 February. Lough Cowey got 1,500 on 19 February.
Bellanaleck received 1,000 on 23 February. Brantry was stocked with 1,500 on 24 February.
The total exceeded 12,000 takeable brown trout across these locations.
