Police in Derry are examining a series of vehicle thefts and break-ins in the Waterside area. A red Vauxhall Crossland vanished from Good Shepherds Glen around 2.30am on Thursday, March 5. A black Volkswagen Golf disappeared from Glenmore Park between 3.50am and 4am the same day.

Keys for a silver Volkswagen Arteon were taken during a burglary at a house in Butler's Wharf between 11pm Wednesday and 8.30am Thursday. The Arteon was later reported stolen. Officers also received reports of a parked car ransacked in Good Shepherds Glen with nothing taken. Another car in Butler's Wharf had an item stolen after being broken into.

Sergeant McGurk stated that the public should report any suspicious activity immediately via 101 or 999 in emergencies. He noted that vehicle thefts or break-ins cause significant distress and inconvenience.
