Councillor Tracy Kelly, Lord Mayor of Belfast, selected Tre-Eco as one of her civic charities for the rest of her 2025/2026 term. The South Belfast social enterprise trains young volunteers in skills including building work, plastering and power washing.

Tre-Eco engages young people to address local dereliction while offering qualifications for future employment. The organisation operates as a community hub led by Graham and Sarah.

Kelly visited the site today. She noted the enterprise's role in the local community and its support for young people through practical training and development.

The selection provides Tre-Eco with greater visibility and fundraising access across Belfast. Kelly stated her aim to link more young people with city opportunities, citing Tre-Eco as a key grassroots example.

Lord Mayors, Deputy Lord Mayors and High Sheriffs each choose charities annually to promote to donors and partners in business and community sectors.
