Victoria Square in Belfast will hold its Sister Season from March 7 to 22 to mark International Women’s Day on March 8. The programme includes panel discussions, workshops, wellness sessions, beauty demonstrations and community gatherings.

The series opens with the Sister Stories event and style showcase on March 7. Cool FM presenter Rebecca McKinney will host the occasion. Eleven local women selected from public entries will participate, including Erin Mulligan from Limavady, a social media executive and content creator.

Participants represent fields such as autism awareness, women’s health, dementia care, business, community leadership, mental health and body confidence. Additional women on stage include Lady Mary Peters, an Olympic gold medallist; Marissa Callaghan, a football player; Aisling Gallagher, a content creator; India Sasha and Bernadette Hagans, disability advocates; Njambi Njoroge, a singer and actress; Annette Kelly, a personal development coach; and models Nuala Meenehan and Anne Flanagan.

Tickets for the Sister Stories event cost £10 each and come with a goodie bag containing a £5 Victoria Square gift card. All proceeds go to Women’s Aid, which supports victims of domestic abuse in Northern Ireland.
