Tandragee Golf Club Plans Murder Mystery Event for NICHS Charity
Tandragee Golf Club in Armagh will hold a murder mystery evening on March 21 at 7pm to raise funds for Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke. Tickets cost £40 each and include a three-course meal. The event features professional actors portraying characters from 1913 and allows guest participation in solving the mystery.
Lady Captain Vivienne Loney, Mr Captain Hammy Loney and Club President Colin Wallace organized the fundraiser after taking office late January. The couple marks the first husband-and-wife captain team at the club. Isaac Beattie devised the scenario, set on a local estate before the club's 2020 centenary.
A raffle with prizes from local donors will supplement proceeds. Organizers plan further events including charity days throughout the year. All funds go to NICHS, which turns 80 this year and began addressing tuberculosis before expanding to heart and stroke support.
One in three people in Northern Ireland live with chest, heart or stroke conditions. Past club fundraisers aided cancer services and the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance. The club shifted to a single charity focus under its two-year-old one-club model, granting equal access across membership categories.
Tickets are available from the club by calling 028 3884 1272 option 2 or visiting Wednesday to Sunday from noon to 8pm.
