CAFRE Holds Annual Horticulture Careers Fair at Antrim Campus
The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) organised its 15th annual Opportunities in Horticulture Careers Fair at Greenmount Campus in Antrim. The event drew more than 25 exhibitors from the horticulture sector. Employers presented work placement options and job openings to students on horticulture and floristry courses.

David Dowd, interim head of horticulture at CAFRE, highlighted career paths in the sector. These include sustainable food production, plant science, garden design, environmental management, and landscape care. He stated the field addresses technology, climate change, biodiversity, and land use changes.
