Tourism Northern Ireland supported the Gate 1 Travel Tour Managers Seminar for 2026 held in Belfast. The event marked the first time the US-based operator staged its annual gathering in Northern Ireland.

Gate 1 Travel organised a welcome evening at The Europa Hotel for 40 team members. A closing event took place at Titanic Belfast over the weekend.

Attendees included Laura McCorry, CEO of Tourism Northern Ireland, and Sinead Murray, Trade and Industry Partnerships Manager at Tourism Ireland. Gate 1 Travel representatives present were Elodie Giraud, London Office Assistant Manager for Destinations France, Ireland and UK; Lysianne Jacquet, Destination Manager for France, UK and Ireland; and Urs Andrey, Director of Regional Offices.

The operator, active for more than 40 years, provides escorted and independent tours to the Island of Ireland. Northern Ireland appears in multiple Gate 1 itineraries.

George Diamondis, Head of Business Solutions at Tourism Northern Ireland, noted the support for the seminar and Gate 1's role in delivering North American visitors. He highlighted chances to connect with leadership and tour managers.

Marty Seslow, Vice President of Marketing at Gate 1 Travel, described Belfast as a suitable location for the seminar. He pointed to sessions on company values and service standards for tours.
