Housing Executive Opens Consultation on Rural Housing Plans to 2031
The Northern Ireland Housing Executive has launched a consultation on its draft rural housing strategy covering up to 2031. Rural residents can submit feedback through multiple channels before March 20.
Pamela Johnston, rural and regeneration manager, said the plan addresses challenges in villages, townlands and hamlets. She noted that it responds to concerns in varied rural locations and was developed alongside rural partners. Johnston encouraged responses from individuals, community groups, partners and stakeholders.
A drop-in session takes place on Tuesday, March 3, from 1pm to 3pm at the Rural Community Network building in Cookstown, County Tyrone.
Teams-hosted public sessions are set for Friday, March 13, from 10.30am to noon, and Monday, March 16, from 2pm to 3.30pm. The online questionnaire offers technical support, and paper versions are available on request.
The draft strategy appears on the Housing Executive website at nihe.gov.uk/consultations. For registrations or questions, contact Rural.Housing@nihe.gov.uk or info@ruralcommunitynetwork.org.
