Katie Kirby's Lottie Brooks's The Twelve Disasters of Christmas is the number one bestseller at Waterstones Ballymena, according to the store's latest weekly chart.

The book, part of the Lottie Brooks children's series, leads a top three that includes Julia Donaldson's Gruffalo Granny in second place and Jamie Smart's Bunny vs Monkey: Day of the Heroes in third.

Children's titles feature prominently in the chart, with Alice Hemming's The Pumpkin Thief also appearing in the top ten ahead of Halloween.

The store is offering five half-price deals this week, including the top-selling Lottie Brooks book and other chart titles such as Ian Rankin's The Heights and Mary Berry's Mary All in One.

Waterstones Ballymena has scheduled a Storytime and colouring session on Saturday 24 October, where staff will read The Pumpkin Thief by Alice Hemming.

The store's Fiction Book Club will meet on Thursday 5 November to discuss We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer.
