A free two-day Halloween event in Ballymena will include a dedicated day for children and young people with additional needs.

Turning Point NI's Halloween Inclusive Spooky Bash takes place in the Des Allen Suite at Ballymena Showgrounds on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 October.

Monday's sessions are exclusively for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN). Tuesday's activities are open to all children, young people and families within the Ballymena Borough eligibility area.

The event includes a pumpkin patch with pumpkin painting, messy play, Halloween-themed games and arts and crafts, a sensory corner, and a goodie bag for each child. Children are welcome to dress up in costume.

Each session lasts 45 minutes. Monday's relaxed and inclusive sessions are facilitated by W.A.V.E.S and capped at 20 children per slot. Tuesday's sessions have a maximum of 40 children per slot. Tickets must be booked for everyone attending, including accompanying adults.

Entry and parking are free. The event is fully funded under the PEACEPLUS Strengthening Communities Programme, which is managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.

Under-18s must attend with a parent or legal guardian, and adults must accompany their own children throughout the event. Families should reserve tickets for their chosen slots through the booking page, choosing Monday for SEN-only sessions or Tuesday for open sessions.
