The founder of Children in Crossfire, Richard Moore, has been recognised by the Mayor for his three decades of work supporting vulnerable children and communities globally.

At a civic reception, the Mayor presented Moore with a commemorative crystal plaque and spoke of the charity's unwavering commitment to justice, equality and hope. The Mayor said: “I’d like to say a huge thanks and congratulations to everyone at Children in Crossfire for their continued efforts to improve the lives of children and families facing adversity across the globe. The work they have done over the last thirty years is incredible and I wish them every success for the next 30 years!”

In return, Moore presented the Mayor with a gift from the charity.

Children in Crossfire is a Northern Ireland-based international development charity that works to improve the lives of children in some of the world's poorest countries, with a focus on education, health and protection. It was established in 1996.
