A new season of support for women in business across Mid and East Antrim has been launched through the Enterprising Women programme.

The autumn and winter schedule has been shaped by feedback from network members and is aimed at women at all stages of their business journey, whether starting a new venture, growing an established company or seeking to widen professional connections.

The programme includes hands-on workshops covering finance, Meta Ads and confidence building, as well as a series of networking events designed to help participants exchange ideas and learn from peers.

Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Alderman Thomas Gordon, said the initiative demonstrated the council’s investment in local entrepreneurs and that the opportunities to improve confidence, expand networks and get support allowed female entrepreneurs to strengthen the local economy.

The Enterprising Women network was established in 2018 and now has more than 180 members across the borough, spanning sectors including retail, tourism, artisan and professional services.

Kelli McRoberts, chief executive of Carrickfergus Enterprise, stated that the programme had been put together by listening to members and ensuring the topics and speakers reflected what mattered to them. She added that the network’s continued growth brought new insights and networking opportunities.
