Skintown, a film set in Enniskillen during the 1994 IRA ceasefire, has won the Sean Connery Prize for Feature Filmmaking Excellence at the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

The film is based on the book by Enniskillen author Ciaran McMenamin and follows two best friends attempting to secure a move away from the town.

The cast includes Derry Girls actor Jamie Lee O'Donnell, Peaky Blinders actor Jack Rowan, Young Offenders actor Chris Walley and Top Boy actor Hope Ipoku Jnr. Some scenes were filmed in Enniskillen.

The prize, which carries a £50,000 award, was presented by Jason, the son of a former James Bond actor.

After the win, McMenamin posted on social media that the award was for people across Northern Ireland and thanked those who voted.
