Belfast's Autumn Fair will return to Botanic Gardens on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, with arts, crafts, food, and family activities. The free event runs from 12.30pm to 5.30pm on both days.

The annual Autumn Flower Show will display prize-winning autumnal blooms, large seasonal vegetables, and floral art. The Northern Ireland Bonsai Society will mark its 40th anniversary with an exhibition offering bonsai advice, demonstrations, and calligraphy.

Lord Mayor Róis-Máire Donnelly said the city takes pride in its green spaces and that the fair showcases the changing seasons in Botanic Gardens. She added that the programme includes free family entertainment, floral displays, live music from The Professionals and The Drifters, and local stalls.

The fair coincides with European Heritage Open Days. Free ticketed historical tours of Botanic Gardens and its glasshouses will be available, with performances by harpist Ursula Burns.

Visitors can sign up in advance for watercolour workshops in the Tropical Ravine and the Palm House. A Sustainable Living Emporium will offer cookery demonstrations, willow workshops, planting activities, free books, and lifestyle advice.
