Quad bike seized after riders flee police in Carrickmore
Police in Omagh have seized a quad bike after two riders left the scene during a patrol in Carrickmore on Thursday night.
Officers from the district’s D Section were on mobile patrols when they encountered two people riding quad bikes on the Termon Road. The riders made off, with one driver climbing onto the back of the other quad before leaving the area. The second quad bike was seized.
The Fermanagh and Omagh PSNI said on social media that the riders left without putting on a helmet.
This is the third vehicle seized by police in Fermanagh and Omagh in the past three days, following two separate incidents involving uninsured drivers earlier this week.
Police have asked the owner of the seized quad bike to contact Omagh Police Station and quote reference CC1847 13/08/26 if they wish to reclaim it.
