Princess Anne made several stops across County Fermanagh during an official visit that marked her 65th trip to Northern Ireland. The visit was her third to the region this year.

Her first engagement was at Brooke House Health and Wellbeing Centre near Fivemiletown, a facility that supports the physical and mental health of serving and retired members of the British armed forces, police, prison and emergency services, as well as their families and carers.

During a tour of the centre, the Princess Royal visited a walled garden used for therapeutic purposes and to grow flowers and vegetables. Head gardener Dougal Dorman noted her apparent interest in the garden and added that he believed she was a gardener herself.

The princess spent over an hour at Brooke House speaking with staff and clients. A music group featuring harpist Eileen Beamish performed, and Lord Brookebrough and chief executive Joan Clements greeted her upon arrival.

Later, Princess Anne travelled to Irvinestown to mark the 85th anniversary of the RAF Cadets. In her capacity as President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, she paid respects at both the Church of Ireland and Roman Catholic churches in the town.

At the churches, she observed periods of reflection and was briefed on the lives and service of RAF personnel whose graves are located there. The schedule also included meetings with serving RAF members, cadets and community representatives.

Princess Anne first came to Northern Ireland in 1961, visiting Belfast at age 10. Her preceding visit to Fermanagh took place in April 2024, when she officially opened the Erne Campus of South West College in Enniskillen.
