Police have advised of significant traffic disruption and delays next Tuesday (July 14) in Scarva, County Down, due to a major parade.

More than 75 bands and almost 5,000 participants are expected to take part in the demonstration, with crowds of around 100,000 supporters anticipated.

The parade will gather at 10.45am at the Assembly Field on Gilford Road, then proceed along Main Street to Scarva Demense. The return leg will depart Scarva Demense at 3.15pm.

Road diversions will be in place from 8.30am for public safety. Roads are scheduled to reopen by approximately 7.30pm, though closures may be lifted earlier if deemed safe. Motorists are asked to follow any instructions from police officers on the day.

Those not attending the parade are advised to avoid the Scarva area if possible.
