Stranmillis University College has secured the top spot in Northern Ireland for student satisfaction in the 2026 National Student Survey, marking its second consecutive year in the lead.

The college’s score exceeded both the UK-wide and Northern Ireland average of 84 percent.

Professor Patricia Eaton, Director of Teaching and Learning at Stranmillis, said the result reflected the dedication of staff across the institution. She noted that all employees strive to deliver a high-quality student experience, and it was rewarding to see that effort acknowledged by students themselves.

Principal Professor Jonathan Heggarty said the college would continue to build on its achievements. He stressed that Stranmillis would keep reviewing practices, embracing innovation, and using student feedback to guide improvements.

The institution highlighted that every undergraduate student completes an extensive programme of work-based placements, and all have the opportunity to study abroad. The college also reported a 96 percent student success rate.
