The Department of Health has released its annual statistics on urgent and emergency care in Northern Ireland for the 2025/26 financial year.

The bulletin provides data on total activity at emergency departments, including new, unplanned and planned review attendances. It also covers waiting times, ambulance response times, the number of calls and incidents handled.

This is the first publication in a series of three 'Hospital Statistics' releases due in the coming months. The other two will focus on inpatient and outpatient activity respectively.

The report introduces new call categories and targets for ambulance services.
