Applications Open for Derry Guildhall Craft Fair 2026
Applications are now open for the Guildhall Craft Fair, which will take place in Derry from Friday 13 November to Sunday 15 November 2026.
The event is held in the Guildhall, one of the north west’s most iconic venues. Organisers are seeking around 43 exhibitors through a competitive assessment process that emphasises craftsmanship, originality and innovation.
Both returning and first-time makers are encouraged to apply. The fair accepts only original handmade work created on the island of Ireland, with no imported or bought-in products permitted.
Applications are judged on the quality of workmanship, originality, skill and the overall range of products on offer. First-time applicants must submit physical samples of their work, while previous exhibitors provide recent images of the items they plan to show.
Helena Hasson, events co-ordinator at Derry City and Strabane District Council, said the fair had built an outstanding reputation for its commitment to high-quality handmade craft. She noted that the selection process was extremely competitive each year due to the exceptional talent of applicants.
She added that the fair offered an excellent opportunity for designer-makers and artists to present their work to thousands of visitors.
In addition to the craft fair, food producers can take part in an artisan food fair held in the Guildhall’s Whittaker Suite. Social Enterprise Northern Ireland is also providing two stands to social enterprises in Northern Ireland through the Social Economy Work Programme it delivers on behalf of the Department for the Economy.
The deadline for applications, with any required samples, is 12 noon on Wednesday 5 August 2026. Forms and guidance are available at www.derrystrabane.com/CraftFairApplications.
