Suspected drugs and weapons seized in Ballymena and Antrim police searches
Police officers conducted planned searches at multiple properties in Ballymena and Antrim on Monday, July 6, as part of an investigation into the suspected supply of Class A and Class B controlled drugs.
The operation saw a significant police presence in the Orkney Drive area of the Ballykeel estate in Ballymena, where searches were carried out at a number of addresses. Officers remained at the properties for several hours while enquiries were ongoing.
A spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland confirmed that as a result of the searches, a quantity of suspected Class B and Class C drugs, a number of weapons, and several mobile phones were seized. Enquiries are continuing.
No arrests have been announced at this stage.
