Newry recycling firm and employee admit charges over JCB-related workplace death
A recycling company based in Newry and one of its employees have pleaded guilty to charges connected with a workplace death that occurred four years ago.
McKinstry Biomass Ltd and Walter Manley, 53, of Loanda Crescent, appeared before Newry Crown Court on Tuesday where they entered guilty pleas to their respective charges.
The case stems from an incident at the company's premises in which a man died and which involved a JCB vehicle. The specific charges have not been disclosed.
Both the company and Mr Manley are expected to be sentenced next week.
