Antrim residents are being invited to share their experiences of river flooding at a public engagement event on Wednesday 1 July.

The Department for Infrastructure is holding a drop-in session at All Saints Parish Centre in Antrim town from 4pm to 7.30pm. The event is part of a feasibility study exploring measures to reduce flood risk from rivers in the area.

Attendees can speak with the project team, describe past flood events, and raise concerns. Officials say local knowledge will help shape the study and identify potential solutions.

The department has commissioned consultants to support the work, which will assess whether viable flood mitigation measures exist for the Antrim area. The study is ongoing and no decisions have been made yet.
