Report Details 25 Years of Serious Road Injuries in Northern Ireland
The Department for Infrastructure has released a report on clinically seriously injured road casualties in Northern Ireland covering the period 1999 to 2024.
Produced by the department's Analysis, Statistics and Research Branch, the publication draws on hospital admission records to identify individuals who sustained a clinically defined serious injury following a road traffic collision, classified as MAIS3+.
The data provides a long-term view of these severe injuries, allowing for analysis of trends over a quarter of a century.
The full report is available on the Department for Infrastructure website at www.infrastructure-ni.gov.uk/topics/road-safety.
