Car Torched in North Belfast Arson Attack
A car was set alight in the Rathcoole area of north Belfast late Sunday night.
Police and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to reports of a vehicle fire on Mournebeg Drive shortly before 11.45pm. Upon arrival, they found the back window of a red car smashed and the vehicle engulfed in flames.
Fire appliances from Whitla and Glengormley fire stations attended and extinguished the blaze. The owners of the car were present at the scene.
No injuries have been reported.
The incident follows several nights of disorder in north Belfast after a stabbing in the area. Police have not confirmed whether the arson is linked to the earlier unrest.
