Vandals break new seats at Crossmaglen GAA club
A GAA club in Crossmaglen has said new seats in its stand were broken by vandals in recent days.
Cross Rangers, based at St Oliver Plunkett Park, posted photographs of the damage on social media. The club described the anti-social behaviour as out of control.
In response, the club introduced new rules prohibiting loitering around the grounds, particularly in turnstile areas where it said young people had been drinking. Parents have been urged to be vigilant and know where their children are. The club stressed that the grounds are not a drop-off point for young people to gather.
The club stated it will review CCTV footage and report the incident to the relevant authorities.
Police have said they take anti-social behaviour seriously and are committed to tackling it in partnership with the community. They encouraged anyone with information to report incidents quickly by calling 101, using the online reporting form, or contacting Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
