Students from South Eastern Regional College recently held a media showcase at the Bangor campus, displaying projects from both further and higher education courses.

The event marked the first time the two cohorts had presented work together. Projects included short films, documentaries, music videos, animation and motion graphics.

The showcase included a competition for Level 3 Creative Media Extended Diploma students, in partnership with the Freebooter Lounge record label. Three winners were announced: Harvey Neale, 22, from Bangor; Oran Toland, 20, from Belfast; and Caleb Wilson, 20, from Millisle.

They received prizes such as vinyl albums, CDs, branded T-shirts and gift vouchers, and their music videos will be promoted on the label's platforms.

Creative Media Lecturer Nik Thomas said the students should be proud, and that the work displayed a range of skills. He noted the team gives students creative freedom for their final projects, aiming to build their confidence.
