Sections of the Crescent play park in Portstewart are being closed to the public as improvement works begin.

Causeway Coast and Glens Council confirmed that the closures are necessary to protect visitors and contractors during the project. The work is weather-dependent and is expected to take several weeks to complete.

While parts of the play area will be temporarily fenced off, seating areas and other sections of the Crescent will remain open and accessible. The council has apologised for any inconvenience and asked for patience as the upgrades are carried out.
