Antrim and Dublin teams join Gaeltacht sides for Donegal tournament
Twenty-six men's and women's football teams will compete in Cill Chartha, County Donegal, this weekend.
The event is the Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta, which marks its 55th year.
Teams represent all seven Gaeltacht counties along with sides from Dublin and Antrim.
Games will be played in junior and senior men's grades and junior, intermediate and senior women's grades.
Cill Chartha last hosted the event in 2004.
A new stand has been added at Páirc Tamhnaigh along with marquees, accommodation and a shuttle bus service.
RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and TG4 will provide radio, online and television coverage.
The competition began with a challenge match between teams from Kerry and Donegal in January 1969.
Cill Chartha has won the tournament seven times.
