Fermanagh Stroke Support Group Withdraws Charity Commission Appeal
A charity appeal brought on behalf of the Fermanagh Stroke Support Group against the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland has been formally dismissed after the appellant chose to withdraw. The Charity Tribunal for Northern Ireland issued its decision on 26 May 2026.
Ciara Murray, acting on behalf of the Fermanagh Stroke Support Group, had lodged the appeal, which was registered as Appeal Reference 5/24. Following directions hearings, correspondence received on 30 April 2026 confirmed that the appellant wished to withdraw the appeal in its entirety. The Charity Commission for Northern Ireland raised no objection.
Legal Chairman Colin Hanna signed the order dismissing the appeal under Rule 24(1)(a) of the Charity Tribunal Rules (Northern Ireland) 2010. The Tribunal made no order for costs, in accordance with sections 13(6) and (7) of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
