Carhill Cars has offered a £5,000 reward for information that leads to the conviction of those responsible for a fire at its showroom.

The fire occurred at the company's premises on the Carhill Road in Garvagh on May 13.

Fifty-five firefighters attended the incident, supported by six appliances from stations in Maghera, Kilrea, Dungiven, Ballymoney and Coleraine, plus an aerial ladder appliance, a command support unit and a water tanker.

Police received the initial report at approximately 5am and the blaze was extinguished with assistance from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service.

Police are treating the incident as arson and have appealed for witnesses, CCTV footage, doorbell recordings or other material that could assist the investigation.

The business has asked anyone with relevant information to contact police on 101, quoting reference 146 13/05/26, and has stated that all information will be treated in confidence.
