The Waterside Women’s Centre will host a community Big Lunch on Saturday 6 June.

The event forms part of the UK-wide Big Lunch initiative, which began in 2009.

It will take place on Spencer Road and is open to residents of the Waterside and wider Derry area.

The centre provides education, wellbeing programmes and community activities for women and families.

Organisers describe the event as an opportunity for neighbours to meet, share food and reduce isolation.

Attendance is open to the public.
